When I was small I was cute, innocent and very obedient a girl. I would go around telling people: " Mami says cannot do this....Mami says that's not good!....I am going to tell my Mami about this..." and the list continues. So I was a head to toe Mami's girl and still pretty much a Mami's girl now. ;p
And I did silly things because I actually believed whatever my Mami said, be it a joke or serious matter.
Here's a story to share. There was one particular period in my childhood when I really liked to eat watermelons but was too lazy to spit out the seeds and all I did was swallowed it all. So I think my Mami got worried that one day I might choke myself. Hence she came out with a brilliant idea which is to tell me that if I swallow the seeds it will grow tiny watermelon trees out from my belly button! Being young and innocent, I totally believed her words. Ermm...and was really scared and worried about it. Ohhhh nooooo! I dun want a watermelon tree on my belly!!!
I have to prevent this from happening *murmuring to self* Oh yea if I block my belly button it definitely can't grow right? Hehehe I am genius. So i started stuffing my finger in my belly button. But what if it grows out when I am asleep! Ohhhh! Noooooo! i dun want to be a watermelon girl!
Can you guess what I did?
I started stuffing cotton wool in my belly button because that was the only thing i could find to fit in my belly button beside my fingers.
Laugh lah! laugh laahhh! Laugh lahhhhhh!
I know it's very funny because my own Mami laughed at me too when she found out! Why my Mami so bad one made fun of me!
